Success Criteria
When I am reading I will:
Read topic sentences at the start of paragraphs to see what the paragraph is about.
Skim and scan for keywords to help me understand what the text is about.
Look carefully at pictures, diagrams, maps, tables etc to get information about what the text is about.
Use information from different parts of the text to answer questions.
Use information from different parts of the text to make a conclusion or assumption about it.

Success Criteria:
We have used some of these tools to improve our use of vocabulary:

used figurative writing eg similes, metaphors etc

WALT find perimeters, areas and volumes of simple shapes
Success Criteria
We have:
Calculated perimeter by adding up the measurements of each side of the shape. We have put the correct unit of measurement after the total.
Calculated area by multiplying the length by the width of the shape and recorded the answer as a squared measurement.
Calculated volume by multiplying the length by the width by the height of the shape and recorded the answer as a cubic measurement.





I can convert fractions to decimals to percentages for any given fraction or decimals.
